The Switch

From a moment of peace to utter chaos… the switch.

Voices swarming my head reminding me of everything I’m not.

Like listening to a siren I'm drawn into their dark allure

From Feeling secure to preparing for war

Grounded in certain obscenity left scrambling to pick up the pieces I just shattered….

Trapped inside my mind I cannot find a way out

With no warning I’m swept into the undertow and pulled out to sea

Hoping one day I might break free from all that is dark in me.
